Hello, my name is C/MSgt Sebastian DeVera and I have been part of the Civil Air Patrol (CAP) since 2023 (since I was 12). Being part of CAP has developed my leadership skills, taught me the importance of collaboration and teamwork, and has inspired in me a sense of self-discipline. I would like to continue to grow and strengthen my skills, which I can do by attending Advanced Encampment (AE). AE is an opportunity only available to cadets that have already completed Basic Encampment (which I have) and only 51 out of almost a hundred cadets were accepted into this program. AE will provide me additional training in Leadership, Aerospace, Emergency Services and Marksmanship. It will also give me senior level training that I will need to rank up to C/Chief Master Sergeant. 

My goal is to earn a pilot's license by using the opportunities that Civil Air Patrol provides me and to ultimately join the United States Air Force when I turn 18.
