Several years ago, Rachel moved from Arizona to her family's hometown of Kansas City, Missouri, to be near her Mother, who's health was failing. She left her beloved Phoenix, Az, behind and ran to be near her Mom.
Life was difficult in KC for her, but she made her way and built a life for herself. In the mean time her mom moved BACK to Arizona and then suffered a series of major health crises, while Rachel, stuck in KC, could only watch from a distance.
