Iraq’s widows and orphans will not be celebrating Ramadan like us. As we end our days with feasts and laughter, they end theirs with unsatisfied hunger. This Ramadan, we would like to change that. We would like to embark on a journey to help those in need.
We are gathering contributions to help prepare Ramadan food baskets. Each basket costs $50 and contains food items for the entire month. Each widow will receive one basket to help feed her orphans. Our goal is to raise $1,500, which will help 30 families this Holy Month.
Many Iraqi martyrs have given their lives for their country, and these heroes have left mothers and children helpless. This is our time to give back and make sure no child is forgotten.
