ReGeneración: Vision 2020-2025

Sprouted in Colombia. Blossoming in the United States. Taking root in each individual who believes in the power of vulnerability and agency.

ReGeneración seeks to give voice to that which we are expected to hush: our feelings, especially the uncomfortable ones. We envision a world where what we feel inside may be a source of power for what we do outside. We address conflict and trauma through creative arts.

By feeling comfortable in our own skin, we can develop our own sense of belonging and engage in advocacy locally, thereby setting an example of peace for the generations that are to follow us.

We achieve this through our main projects:

"Cual es tu Paz?" Story-Healing Workshops

"What is your Peace?" Each of us carries trauma from our own lives and that of generations before us. Our workshops are an opportunity to explore creative and interactive methods of reflection and reconciliation, centering around community building through story-telling, vulnerability, and performance.

We have organized over 300 workshops (and counting), reaching more than 5,000 individuals of all ages in nearly 100 cities in 13 countries! We have done so in various languages and always free of charge.

Hosted in locations such as: Comunidad de Paz of San José de Apartadó (CO), NYU School of Law (US), Casa de los Amigos (MX), Linwood Mosque of Christchurch (NZ), InTel Schools of Arusha (TZ), Kathmandu Yellow Pagoda (NP).

"Pazcual" Children’s Books

Who is to tell our story? We will. Through our series of children’s books, we tell Colombia’s story of conflict & peace from the point of view of those most affected by the untold realities of daily life.

Launched with the inspirational story of Luisa Gil and her family's struggle in Carepa, Antioquia (CO), our books imagine the future without ever forgetting the past so that future generations may build a more peaceful today.

Presentations & Trainings

Why now? Why me? Look around and you will notice the beauty of how far humanity has come...and you will also notice the despair of how far we have to go.

Through our interactive presentations and creative trainings, we have educated participants on the promise of justice through healing and empowered them to apply their own tools towards their local ends.

We have been invited and presented at several forums through various high schools, universities, community organizations, reentry programs, and small businesses.

Our Momentum

In our almost 10 years, we have taken important steps in building our momentum. We organized a youth delegation to observe the peace talks in Havana, Cuba. We designed a Voter Education Guide for national elections. We created the workshops and books mentioned above. We amplified the voice for peace beyond the borders of Colombia.
