Promoting the diverse cultural identities of San Diego's marginalized communities through a year-long series of free, public costume-art events across the City. Events are mobile and static exhibitions, crafting workshops, performances, roundtables, theater and dance; addressing ethnicity, race, gender, sexuality, age and (neuro)diversity; fostering equality, inclusion and social change; engaging local communities and bringing together arti(vi)sts, scholars and organizations dedicated to social equity and access to public art.
The Project gives voice to marginalized, excluded, and underrepresented communities to express their identities; it gives accesss to public art, bringing together creatives and scholars with local communities, bridging the gap between mainstream fashion and art.
