Save a Shelter Animal

Save a Shelter Animal

From Dillion Koch

Raising money to help animals receive their second chance. Over 300,000 dogs are euthanized every year in shelters across the US. Our goal is to stop euthanizing animals unless it’s to end suffering.

Shelters across the US are experiencing extreme overcrowding. Many of these shelters are “open admission” meaning they cannot turn away animals being brought to them. Some shelters will see hundreds of new animals every week and they only have so much space. We help by pulling animals out of the shelter and usually relocating them where they will find their forever home. Donations are used for animal pledges, transportation of animals, medical care, every day needs such as food and other things should they arise. Pledges are made if for some reason we can’t pull the animal, we help another rescue who can. Pledge money is used in the same manner.

Another side to our work is with local, state and federal governments as well as our communities. We take concerns regarding pets from the community to our governments where we push for change. We are also the voice of pets who deserve to be cared for responsibly. We stand up against backyard breeding and strongly urge others to adopt not shop. This work we do on our time and we do not receive or expect payment for time spent.

Thank you, we appreciate every donation. Without the support of everyone we could not do what we do!
