I am raising money to send school supplies to students in underprivileged areas. With your help, we can change the trajectory of children's education. It all starts with a pencil.

In the summer of 2016, I visited Ethiopia and had the memorable opportunity to visit many different cities, some less developed than others. As tourists, we often traveled in noticeable vans with a tour guide. Recognizing “foreigners”, children would chase us asking for one thing. They didn’t beg us for money, clothes, food, or even candy. They asked for pencils. Imagine, something we easily lose track of in our backpacks or carelessly leave behind in other classrooms, wanted so badly 8,000 miles away.
As we handed out writing utensils, the genuine happiness that reflected off of their facial expressions was unforgettable. I would like to raise $1,000 to send to a designated school in Ethiopia (TBD) to bring the same smiles to more children.
Ethiopia is said to have some of the lowest primary education enrollment rates in the world, whether due to access to schools nearby or affordability. Help me make sure access to school supplies is not a reason children are deprived of a life's worth of education. I can assure you, anything from a dollar to a hundred dollars helps.
Thank you, and God Bless!
