I'm raising money to get a service dog for my husband who has PNES. He feels helpless and afraid. His doctor thinks a service dog will provide him security to live his daily life. Please help if you can. Thank you.

Hey everyone! Thank you so much for your help! After a bit more research and talking to my husband we are looking into finding a local puppy to be trained as a service dog. This would be less stressful for my husband and we feel he would be able to learn with the dog. So, we will be lowering the amount of the fundraiser. Again, we truly appreciate all the support!
My husband has been having seizures for almost a year even while on medicine. We have been to multiple hospitals and admitted every time. Managed to rack up a 20k hospital bill and still get no answers till recently. Now we are here again and they finally decided to fully diagnose him. He has been diagnosed with PNES(psychogenic nonepileptic seizures) and unlike epilepsy there is no medicine he can take that will stop the seizures. The only thing he can do is attend therapy, which he already goes to and it has made no difference. PNES can be caused by very severe anxiety and trauma/stressors in my husband's case he had a horribly abusive childhood. This is it manifesting itself physically. He has expressed how afraid he is to be left alone and how he feels like such a burden even though he isn't one. This has completely changed our lives. He misses a lot of work because his episodes can last a few days with multiple seizures a day. He can no longer drive or truly be left alone to take care of himself. The doctor recommended a service dog would allow him to feel more independent and have a sense of security just in case he is to have an episode in public. The episodes often cause my husband to fall unconscious and become extremely weak. The service dog would be able to respond during these times to protect his head during an episode and wake him up after. He will continue going to therapy and finding other treatment methods, so that he can gain just a little bit of his normal life back. My husband has hopes and dreams that I am willing to do anything to help him achieve. I will be working extra hours and doing all that I can to help him. Please help if you can. Thank you.
