I am a 35 year old mother with a 15 year old son who is on the autism spectrum. Each year, I struggle with finding a summer camp program that specializes in dealing with individuals with disabilities. There are no other options close to where we live. The only other options are all out of state or sleep aways, and neither make me comfortable. Others are simply too expensive. I would love to create a low-cost summer program where families can bring their children and feel at ease knowing that there is staff on site experienced in dealing with children with disabilities. Oftentimes, camp counselors are young teenagers with little to no experience. Please help support this cause. Anything you can offer would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
