Since she was a little girl, Jocelyn has always been a dreamer. Whether it was building elaborate Lego structures, writing short stories, or spending hours reading about distant lands and cultures, her curiosity knew no bounds. As she grew, so did her passion for learning and her determination to make a difference in the world.
But life hasn’t always been easy. Jocelyn faced challenges that tested her resolve—whether it was juggling part-time jobs while maintaining top grades in school, helping out at home during tough times, or taking care of her mother struggling with addiction. Despite these obstacles, she never wavered in her commitment to her education.
One memory that stands out is the night two days before her graduation, she became violently ill, throwing up and not able to keep anything down. She rested and continued this pattern until it was the morning of her graduation. She was determined to walk with her classmates and experience the right-of-passage that is the graduation ceremony. While sitting in the gym and waiting for her name to be announced, she had to excuse herself to purge, yet again. She came back in just in time to hear her name be announced and walk on the stage to receive her diploma. She is driven and tenacious and is the most beautiful young lady that I have ever known.
Now, as she prepares to embark on this new chapter, I want to ensure that financial barriers don’t stand in the way of her dreams. Jocelyn has always given her all—now, I'm asking for your help to give her the support she needs to continue her journey.
