It was a gloomy evening, and the rain poured relentlessly. As I walked home, the sound of raindrops hitting the pavement was interrupted by a faint, desperate cry. I followed the sound, and there, shivering in a puddle, was a tiny kitten so small, so fragile, her eyes still sealed shut.
Her fur was soaked, her frail body trembling against the cold, and my heart broke at the sight. She must have been just days old, abandoned to face the harsh world alone. Without hesitation, I scooped her up and wrapped her in my jacket, shielding her from the rain.
That night, I named her "Luna." It felt fitting because, despite her dire circumstances, this tiny creature deserved a chance at a better life.
Since then, Luna has been in my care. I've fed her, kept her warm, and watched her slowly begin to trust the world around her. But her journey is far from over. Being so young and fragile, she requires medical attention, proper nutrition, and a safe place to grow strong.
