I need assistance while in my wheelchair with day-to-day activities to maintain an independent lifestyle. My family and I are seeking financial assistance for initial and ongoing training for my new service dog, Sadie.

Hi Everyone,
Sadie and I have been doing home lessons since winter started. Sadie sure knows a lot for a 7 month old.
We are making a lot of progress, but training has a long process.
Axel was my first service dog and he passed away suddenly from cancer just over a year ago. While I miss Axel more than I thought possible and with COVID changing how we function day to day, the time he has been gone has made my life feel empty and sometimes secluded, as I am sure it has for many others.
I work at The Rose Quarter MODA Center, home of the Portland Trailblazers. With life finally opening up and getting back to speed, I was able to begin a more regular work schedule starting October, 2021. It has been difficult without Axel and is very tough when so many are asking about him. Since returning to work, many Portland Trailblazers fans, police and many co-workers from a variety of areas have shared with me how Axel and I helped make each event we worked safe and enjoyable. While Axel is irreplaceable to me, I realize that I still need assistance. With this in mind, and much urging and support of family and friends, I have been able to get a new service dog. Her name is Sadie!
While it is not easy for me to ask for help (as my independence is what makes me, well ME), I realize that with the continued training needed and encouragement to take this step, I am doing just that – asking for help. Please assist me, if you can. Any donation is greatly appreciated. All funds raised will be used for training both Sadie and me through my trainers at Paw & Hand K9 and Lucid Dog Training.
From the bottom of my heart – Thank You!
