Electrocity Recording Studio

My name is Sergei, I am a recording artist, producer and sound engineer and I have been dedicated to the music industry for the past five years. Throughout my journey, I have encountered numerous gatekeepers and obstacles that have hindered the creative process and access to resources. 

I've worked with major studios in New York City such as Engine Room Audio, Penthouse Studios, and the biggest studio at the moment in Miami House of Hits alongside with dozens of small ones. Regardless of my tremendous experience, funny enough to this day I still haven't been able to have a steady sustainable income from recording sessions. Just to put in the perspective I still rely on Uber Eats and GrubHub as a delivery guy to be able to get by.

I always get along with smaller studios but they don't have enough traffic, big studios in turn have opinionated and conceited staff. I spent half a year working for free, mopping floors, cleaning toilets, got yelled at for absolutely no reason, stayed up all night until noon just to lose my chance later due to multiple instances of disrespect that i wasn't trying to tolerate which subsequently turned into a whole confrontational situation. Then,  conveniently for them, i got labeled as a "troublesome one" and got disposed of.

Injustice is simply an understatement but i knew deep inside that i just can't be a puppet, softy or pushover to climb the career ladder in such companies. So in response to these challenges, I realized that, as a person that won't trade my dignity for some opportunities, there's simply no way for me to thrive in studios...unless I own one. 

I am seeking to raise $50,000 through fundraising to avoid my talent going to waste. These funds will help set up the studio with the necessary equipment, technology, and space to foster a thriving respectful creative community. I have prepared a detailed business plan and financial projections to ensure the successful launch and sustainability of this project details of which can be provided upon request.

I've released over 20 songs of mine on all major platforms, produced, mixed and mastered over 50 records and recorded countless songs from different genres.
