When I first met Winnie as a tiny 2-month-old puppy in Peru, she was just a bundle of energy and love. This sweet mixed breed had been rescued from an uncertain situation, and I knew I could give her the loving forever home she deserved.
Over the years, Winnie became my constant companion, tagging along on all my adventures. She was always by my side - until I had to leave her behind with family when I moved to the US to start a new chapter with my husband.
For nearly a year, Winnie was separated from her "pack." The stress of this upheaval caused her to develop severe separation anxiety. She would howl incessantly and engage in destructive behaviors anytime she was left alone, even for short periods.
Now that Winnie has been reunited with me in the US, I want to help her overcome this anxiety and feel secure again. However, the costs of professional training, vet visits, medications if needed, and doggy daycare are adding up quickly.
