Hey yall, guess what!
Tuition is paid and final travel arrangements are being made due to the contributions made here as well as surprise donations to my PayPal! Thank you so much for your comfort and your sharing. For those of you on social media, I'll be sharing updates from Portland when I get to look up from the page. Thank you and thank you!!!

I'll be writing to ya sometime in July!

Update #2

Hey yall!
So I've found myself able to extend this fundraising for a couple more days. Phew!!

Once again, any assistance/donation is very much appreciated as I get closer to meeting with renowned agents and authors as I hone my writing and future literary projects.
And I suppose I'd also like to share that I intend to write letters to each donor. Some of you may already know that I am quite into letter writing (wax seals, decorated envelopes, various colored inks, etc). Thank you for reading, and for giving! Thank you for sharing!

Update #1

Hello all!
First, thank you so much to each of you who have been able to donate! Thank you truly!

As an update, it looks like we’ve gotten ¼ of the way there ($400 of $1600)!

There are 15 days left and the tuition left to cover before July hits.

Again, if at all possible, any amount is appreciated (as a graduation present, a just because, supporting an artist, whatever comforts you!)

As I otherwise prepare for this workshop, I was also accepted into Winter Tangerine out of New York. I’m participating in their workshop, Sing That Like Dovesong, which is geared specifically to writers of color as they explore themes of identity in their work. It’s been a thorough online experience full of growth and nurturing of my work. I’m so happy that both of these opportunities have welcomed me this summer.

So, I’ll keep working, and hopefully all will work out! Thanks team and loved ones!
