Update #10

We are about to start our 10th week here on the ground inside Poland and Ukraine. It’s been quite a journey thus far and it’s only been made possible because of YOU. We stress that every update because it’s the truest of truths. We were international strangers who banded together just to help human beings in dire need. We had no idea that we’d still be here rendering Aid; and that YOU people who donated to our cause would be the sole reason for that Aid to be continued. We once again thank you. You have directly impacted the lives of countless of Ukrainian women, children, and men. We hope you never forget that; we know we won’t!

This is update is going to be the final update for this particular crowdfunding campaign. That doesn’t mean we are finished! It means we are starting a new chapter in our mission here in Ukraine!

Our NGO has been focusing more and more on human life safety. As the supply chain has greatly slowed, we have been pivoting into creating a system to evacuate the most vulnerable. This was mentioned in an earlier update, but the weeks of planning are now taking action. Our group on the ground has been working tirelesssly on creating a relay system with other NGO’s and Ukrainian Civilian groups to make this happen. Our group has acquired a second staging location inside the town of Nemyriv where we will be ready to receive the most vulnerable human life and care for them as we transport furthest west to safer zones/areas. The intergroup planning from all orgs involved with this relay system has been nothing short of incredbile. Humans all working together just to help other humans. It’s amazing to us. It’s why we are all here in the first place. It’s why YOU are even reading this now. Humans helping Humans.

That said, a new fundly link has been created now that our groups main priorities have pivoted into this next chapter of focussing on conflict zone evacuations. We felt it may be necessary to create some new momentum since this war has continued with no clear end in sight. We want to thank you all so so SO much for raising over $91,000 with our first campaign in the short amount of time you have. It’s nothing short of a miracle in our eyes. We truly hope you feel the same way. We will forever be grateful to every single one of you. THANK YOU <3

The new fundly link is: https://fundly.com/ukraine-conflict-zone-evacuation

If you feel the pull to help us continue to help them, share the new link with just 1 person (or more). We will continue here inside Ukraine as long as we possibly can!! God Bless you all.

Update #9

We are now entering our 8th week here on the ground inside Poland and Ukraine. Just shy of $90,000 raised for Foreign United Peoples’ mission to just help. Help the citizens. Help the families. Help the human beings of Ukraine. When we started this aid 8 weeks ago, none of us could have ever imagined that we’d be able to accomplish what we have up to this point. What YOU have made possible for us to accomplish. You and we have accomplished it together, truly. We do hope you realize that. We will forever be grateful for your help. Thank you.

We wanted to update you on our fleet of vehicles which are the main tool in sourcing and delivering humanitarian aid; while also evacuating anyone seeking refuge. Because of YOU, we have been able to acquire 4 additional vehicles on top of the 3 that are being lent to us by a private citizen here in Poland who’s originally from Ukraine. This citizens name is Sasha. We wouldn’t be where we are today without him. Because of you and him, we have 7 different vehicles driving at any one time!!!

The vehicles being lent to us are 2 Renault Master cargo vans capable of moving over 2 tons each. A 5 seater VW Caddy which can haul approximately 1,500 pounds itself, is the third.

We as an NGO have been able to purchase 4 used vehicles thus far!
A Mercedes Sprinter van which has 9 seats
An Opel Passenger van which has 9 seats
A VW Transpoter which has 9 seats
A Fiat Doblò which has 7 seats

This is monumental in being able to drive throughout Poland to secure food, water, medicine, etc.. while simultaneously delivering already secured supplies into Ukraine and being able to pick up and evacuate refugees. Again, none of us knew this is where helping would take us and we can’t thank you enough for your support in all of it. Humans helping humans. That’s all this is.

Lastly, we were able to change the link name to our fundly website address. The original link (https://fundly.com/humanitarian-aid-a-n-v-o-k-a-for-country-of-ukraine/dash) still works for the time being, but this new one is much easier to remember.

It is now: fundly.com/foreignunitedpeoples

If you feel inclined to pass our link along then please do! As you know, our whole journey here in Ukraine is all on the donation page starting from the beginning. You never know who a share may reach.. A few little’s = a lot. Maybe in 8 more weeks we’ll have another 655 donors! We plan on staying as long as possible! We thank you from the bottom of our hearts!!

Update #8

Foreign United Peoples is entering its 7th week here on the ground in Ukraine and Poland. You all have all collectively donated over $77,000 in that short span!! That's an average of $11,000 a week!!! We, once again, don't know how to even begin to thank you. We just want to stress that we are only able to continue our work because of YOU. Sit with that for a second... YOU are directly helping to bring aid and save lives. YOU are an extension of our team here on the ground. None of this would be possible without YOU. So again, thank you a million times over. We couldn't appreciate you more.

As this tragedy drags on, we continue to secure and deliver as much humanitarian supplies as we possibly can. Wether it be donations from other countries to our border here in Hrebenne, or us buying directly from stores within Poland; we fill every van and truck to its fullest potential and drive it to Ukrainian led distribution centers across the country, where it will be sent to areas most in need. Just this past week, we purchased 10 generators and delivered them to 2 different military bases where they will be sent off to hospitals and the front line regions. @Jordanwiseley on instagram made a video post about it if you'd like to see more!

We wanted to tell you about a new development that's unfolded in the last week. We are beginning to work along side a civilian led group of Ukrainian citizens who have essentially created a relay system to evacuate not only the wounded, but anyone else seeking refuge from eastern parts of the country. This includes children, women, and men alike. Their network of brave Ukrainian drivers are literally heading straight into active battle areas to secure these humans needing help, sometimes being directly shot at. Once secured, they then drive west from these "hot zones" into "warm zones" where we will then take responsibility of them and continuing the drive west back to "Cold Zones" where they can get the help they need.

Again, we are only able to continue because of your willingness to just help. It really is just humans helping humans. You helping us helping them is all exactly the same. You guys get it!!! We thank you from the bottom of our hearts, truly.

Update #7

We are in our 5th week of being one of, if not THE first civilian group on the ground here in Poland! Take a good look at the photos above. With all the atrocities happening within Ukraine, their spirit of a nation, of a people is like nothing any of us have ever seen. These innocent people who are living through a nightmare, are still so thankful for other people who just want to help. You can see it on their faces. All of those smiles above are because of YOU. We can only continue to continue because of YOU. We say it every update. We say it because it's the truth. It's literally because of YOU. Humans helping humans. You guys are directly helping these innocent people who did nothing to deserve any of this. We as an NGO, still can't begin to thank you enough. But we will try by continuing our efforts here on the ground inside Ukraine!!

We also want to give a special Thank You to Bottleneck Gallery! Unbeknownst to us, they held a 1 hour fundraiser offering a special print from one of their Artists, Ann. Ann herself is from Ukraine as is one of Bottleneck gallery's partners. They donated the full $15,000 that their 1 hour event raised!!! How incredible is that!!! We are absolutely blown away by their efforts to aid their country. To aid their people. To aid their home. Humans helping humans.

Update #6

We wanted to give you another update on a specific mission we were blessed enough to coordinate and accomplish. This just happened yesterday (Wednesday 3/30).

Our 3 medics on the ground; Lucas, Michael, and Jake, (pictured above) escorted and cared for a convoy of children suffering from cancer. These children and their parents made their way from throughout Ukraine into the western city of Lviv. This is where these families were transferred into the care and responsibility of our Team!! A diplomatic escort was arranged directly to the Polish border, where these brave kids were then sent to specialized hospitals throughout Poland, specific to their individual medical needs.

We could not be more proud of Foreign United Peoples medical team here on the ground!!! And we could not be more thankful for YOU selfless people who have made it all possible. Because of you, we were able to assist, care for, and help with these children suffering from a terrible disease, all while in a war torn country. Again, WE thank YOU. Humans helping humans.

Update #5

Where to even begin...

This current week, now week 4 of our team on the ground inside Ukraine/Poland, has been one of the busiest and most rewarding yet! And it's only thanks to you beautiful people who have donated your own hard earned money towards our cause of just helping. You single handedly have helped in securing, transporting, and dispersing supplies throughout the country of Ukriane; not to mention the dozens and dozens of woman and children that have now been evacuated to safety inside Poland!!! Think about that, because of YOU, we have been able to help save countless lives!! We personally can't think of a better feeling on the planet. Humans helping humans. You guys get it!!

By now, Foreign United people has moved over 40 tons of humanitarian supplies to the people of Ukraine. Driven over a cumulative 23,000km (over 14,000 miles!!!) between all vehicles. Both civilian and front line military are receiving these vital necessities. Food, water, medicine, medical supplies, generators, toiletries, kids toys, sleeping bags, clothes, cold weather gear, feminine products, diapers, batteries, and so much more. If you can name it, it's been dispersed throughout Ukraine. Again, all thanks to YOU!!!

We currently are running a 15 passenger van that Peter and Robbie bought in UK (specially for this aid), and 2-3 cargo vans at any time which have been lended to us by multiple Polish/Ukrainian Citizens who understand the need for help. But it gets better!!! We as an NGO, and only because of YOUR donations, have JUST secured and purchased a 9 passenger van for even more supplies and refugee evacuation!!!! Again, think about that. YOU have just secured us a way to save even more lives while also helping the people inside Ukraine with Humanitarian aid. And here's the icing on the cake; when our mission as an NGO here in Ukraine is complete, we will be donating the purchased van directly to the military for their own aid and relief. Our Ukrainian civilian coordinator here on the Hrebenne border crossing has already put us in contact with a specific base, and I can't even begin to tell you how appreciative these Brave men and women are for this future vehicle donation!!! I can't stress this enough; this is only because of YOU!!

We're also still vetting replacements as this tragedy continues with no clear end in sight. We've just added a few new members to our team! Jake and Michael are US combat medics, and boy are they knowledgeable. Their kits are stocked with full trauma equipment in the event anything happens to our team, or any refugees needing medical attention. They will also be running classes for our team on how to deal with biological and/or chemical warfare. Unfortunately, this is the reality of what we are doing. Gas masks have been secured, and full suits are also being sourced as we type this. James is one of our new drivers and has offered his skills at every moment needed inside Poland. He landed, drove straight to the house, and within minutes drove a refugee to warsaw, then himself back to the house. (8 hours total). We have more people joining later in the week so will update you next time on these brave individuals.

We just can't thank you enough for your help. You've heard it over and over by now, but we are humans helping humans. YOU are humans helping humans. That's all this is. We've never been more proud of a group of strangers in our life, and we don't just mean our team, but every single donor as well. Please realize that what you are doing by helping us, is THE only reason we can continue. Thank you thank you thank YOU!!!!! SLAVA UKRANI!!!!

Update #4

Meet the faces of the incredible people YOU have helped; so that they can continue their help in Ukriane and at the Polish border. Pictures with names have just been uploaded!!! Also match their face with their bio which was included yesterday in update #3.

Again, we thank you for your selfless donations as it allows us to continue to help, however we can. Any and all humanitarian supplies you could think of is still being brought into Ukriane. The supply chain here in Hrebenne, however, has slowed since the start of this catastrophe, but we are using all channels, including direct contact with the UN’s clusters to secure anything we can. We are also still buying directly from stores within Poland, as well as large Polish distributing websites (similar to Amazon). We will continue to use any and all resources to obtain supplies for these humans who are simply saying no to a dictator and standing up for their Freedom. For their home. For their families.

Humans helping humans. We are all the same.

Update #3

Our group, now officially named “Foreign United Peoples NGO” cannot begin to (once again) thank YOU for all for your support. We are now just under $40,000 and know it will only continue to grow!!!!!! As I sit here and type this with almost the whole team around me; we are truly humbled by your empathy for the people of Ukraine. We can only continue our Aid because of YOU. YOU have stood up to a bully whose name doesn’t even deserve to be typed or read. The words thank you don’t even begin to cut it. Just know, we are all aware of your generosity and talk about it daily.

By now you all know Jordan and Kevin (Hi!!!!!). But we wanted to take a moment and briefly tell you about the rest of the team. A team that came together as compete strangers and just wanted to help. Humans wanting to help other humans. That’s all this is really about.

Without further ado…

Laura is our Polish translator here in Hrebenne, among a dozen other things. Born In Poland, she has been an invaluable resource at the border itself, and in Ukraine. An activist for years, she prides herself in standing up for what’s right. She is also a coordinator; helping with medicine drop offs, animal evacs, and anything else that’s needed. She also keeps the team fed after long work days!!!

Anna & Michael are the loveliest German couple who drove over 17 hours to help at the border. Their vehicle is a large cargo van which has been imperative with gathering supplies and bringing it back to the house to delegate it to its most needed areas. They themselves have been at the border every day helping however they can. Anna’s mother Urszula owns the home we have been using as our command center 800m from the border. Urszula refused to let us pay and told us the dictator of Russia is a Virus and what we are doing is so much more important than money. She told us to think of her as a second mother, and boy, has she been!!!

Paul is former Canadian reconnaissance soldier. HE is the only reason why we are all here. Our groups head logistics coordinator; He single handedly vetted all of us for safety and skill sets. Not only coordinating majority of our runs, but also navigating for them within Ukraine itself. His eyes on the ground have been used for assessments with not only our NGO, but others throughout Poland and Ukraine.

Adrian is a Swedish soldier who recently finished boot camp. He immediately knew he needed to help when everything unfolded. He is our lead logistics liaison here at home base. He himself vets through hundreds if not thousands of requests for evacuations and supply drops throughout Ukriane, all while helping on the ground inside Poland whenever he can.

Lucas is a Calvary Scout Afghanistan veteran. Now a registered EMT, his medical knowledge and eyes on the ground in Ukraine has been nothing short of brilliant. He regularly holds hands on demonstrations for everyone in our group of how to use/give basic medical support. Using his down payment on a house, his kit of medical supplies he purchased and brought specifically for this is something out of a movie. He continually works to gain more medical supplies/equipment whenever he can for the people of Ukraine.

Henrique is a Portuguese born and raised glorified soul. He himself has already driven close to, if not more than 8,000km (almost 5,000 miles) All in the name of a humanity. Every night he’s able to make it back to the house, after all that driving, he always offers to help clean with dishes. He puts on a podcast and literally cleans for an hour! Selfless doesn’t begin to explain him. He was one of the first of our group.

Sebastian wears maybe the most amount of hats in the house. Born in Brighton UK, he’s been here from the very beginning helping in any capacity he can. From learning the Polish and Ukrainian language daily, to helping facilitate animals out of country and into safety; this man has the personality to deescalate any situation, which has been more than useful with every border crossing we have made. He literally quit his job as a chef to volunteer his time to the people and animals of Ukraine.

Josh is a US citizen who has grown up all over The EU because of parents who have been in the Military. Now based in Italy, he was one of the first on the ground here in Hrebenne, ready to just help. Always having a fresh idea, his take on situations has proved its worth time and time again.

Peter and Robbie may be the kindest souls we have ever met. They bought a 15 passenger mini bus, drove it straight from the UK, all so they could take families out of Ukraine together. Always, always having a smile on their faces and offering help however they can. They have been on a trip with Paul since 7am this morning (now almost 11pm); starting by making their way into Ukraine with propane heaters (which will end up on the front lines) and now to and from Warsaw for more humanitarian supplies. We couldn’t move as much supplies as we are without them!!!!

Elvar is our Icelandic driver in the group. We literally call him Iceland and he loves it. He is constantly offering his services while always looking to learn whatever he can, however he can. Always thinking outside the box, he gives a fresh perspective on certain tasks and problems that arise.

Florian is our Russian translator of the group! Most Ukrainians speak or at least understand the Russian language so you can imagine home valuable his skill sets have become, especially when we have refugees staying at our house. He’s constantly making his way to different refugee camps, borders, and/or bus and rail stations just to offer his skills.

Nolan is the newest member of the group and his driving skills have proved crucial. He literally races World Rally cars as a passion of his. Born in Vietnam and raised in Portland OR, he put his whole life on hold, jumped on a plane, and showed up to our home base ready to help however he could.

Update #1

We don't even know how to begin to thank you all for your support, and we don't even mean in us ourselves; but in helping humanity as a whole. Humans helping humans. That's all this is about. That's all anything is really about.
We had to come back to LA, briefly, to take care of our lives that we had put on hold. We are still working remotely from home, until we leave again mid week. Our team is still on the ground bringing supplies into Ukraine, while returning back to Poland with refugees seeking safety. We made a short video updating you and anyone else who may donate in the future. Please watch and/or share. We really can't thank you enough, truly.
