The church we've connected with near our village in PaSang, Thailand is reaching out to help a member of their community in need - the Phimpa family. The Phimpa family is from Burma, but are currently living and working in Thailand. Because they are not Thai citizens, they are ineligible for health care subsidies. Last week, the father died in a motorcycle accident. He was riding with his young son, who was injured, but did survive.
Now the mother, who is 9 months pregnant, has been told by doctors that she could have potentially lethal complications in pregnancy, and requires an emergency C-section to ensure safety in birth. Unfortunately, she does not have enough money to pay for the C-section @ ~30,000 THB (about $1,000 USD).
Our church has already raised about half the needed amount from the congregation, but we wanted to offer an opportunity for our friends in America to help show the love of Jesus to this family. If you feel so compelled, please donate!
