Only one week left to fully fund my classroom library campaign, and only $95 to go! Thank you to everyone who has donated and wished us well - the kids are super excited for more books!

This is my classroom library.

I just spent my first (short) week with my fourth graders, and the most amazing thing about them is that they love to read. They don't all read the same thing. They don't all read at the same level. But even the most self-conscious students lit up when we talked about books.

I want these guys to hold on to that for as long as possible. I want to encourage them to continue reading, even as it gets increasingly more difficult . The last thing I want is for them to get bored with the limited selection of books I have available.

With your help, I can purchase more than 200 new books through First Book, books my students have told me they want to read. I only need $135 to complete my funding goal. Any little bit helps. Please contribute if you can!

My first order arrived today and I'm so excited to add some non-fiction books to our classroom library! $135 to go to fund the project and purchase 200 books for my students!

Just put in my first First Book order! Twenty-one brand-new non-fiction books about animals, world geography, and US history will be in our classroom library by Monday - all for less than $50. Only $185 dollars to go to fully fund my goal of 200 new books in all genres to keep my fourth graders interested in reading - every little bit helps. Thanks again!
