From Sung-Hee Choi on the No Naval Base on Jeju! Facebook Group [June 13]: Teenagers blocked the gate during the mass. On the day's daily mass, About 30 students from three different alternative schools blocked the gate where construction vehicles pass through.
I don't know all the things that happened during the mass since I arrived the gate at the end of it. However, when I arrived at the site, these courageous students were resisting to police measure of removing them off from the site, sitting on the road and clutching their arms together. Clear was the police look of embarrassment. Later I heard that the age of students from a school was 16 years old. The others, maybe similar to them or even younger.
According to a witness on the day, the police could barely let the trucks pass through the gate only one time during the mass, which was quite unusual. During the human chain time, we danced together while lots of trucks whose entering into the gate had been delayed could finally pass through it.
To be coincident, the day is remembered of the two girls- Shim Hyosoon and Kim Misun-who were killed by US armored vehicle near the Korean DMZ in 2002.
Overlapped are the faces of two girls over those of 30 students. The reason of this seems very clear: Why teenagers cannot but oppose to base?

It is at 5 am. It is literally and obviously illegal action by the state power. They even did not send any letter for notifying Gangjeong people in advance. They just came and attacked the people and the protest tent.
