We are raising funds to pay the transportation costs for a female Afghan refugee who has received her US visa and must arrive in the US within the next 30 days. Saima is currently in Pakistan and has family in the US.

A sincere and heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to this campaign. Without your support, we would have been a difficult spot. We maintain several safe houses and provide support for many displaced Afghan families and unanticipated costs such as Saima's are difficult to cover.
Saima was able to travel to the US under a Humanitarian Parole program. An HP case places the onus to cover all travel costs and other associated expenses on the individual himself/herself.
All funds have been disbursed to Operation Snow Leopard and Saima's family to reimburse both for the costs they incurred.
I am closing the campaign now.
Without your help, this would have bankrupted us and I am eternally grateful.

Saima arrived at Dulles on Sunday night and I was lucky enough to meet her aunt and family here in Virginia. It was a touching reunion and there were not many 'dry eyes'. Her aunt had to pay for her plane ticket as she had to arrive in the US before the end of September in order to meet a refugee enrollment deadline. So, once the fundraising goal has been met, I will send $500.00 to Operation Snow Leopard to reimburse them for paying her visa overstay penalty in Pakistan. The remainder will be sent to Laila to reimburse her for the plane ticket. $440.00 left to raise so please share with your friends and let's make this happen!
Very excited to see this young woman thrive and very grateful to all who have supported the campaign.
