Update #3

Thank you so much to everyone has supported us. We are strengthened by your overwhelming show of support.

Our local struggle in Charlottesville continues. White supremacist groups such as the League of the South, Identity Evropa, and Richard Spencer’s National Policy Institute continue to come to Charlottesville to try to broadcast their message. They are also actively working to suppress any resistance to white supremacy, by targeting local anti-racist community members for arrest. Most recently, Corey Long, a local Black community member who stood on the front lines against racism on August 12, has been arrested based on the testimony of white supremacist groups. They had been planning this for weeks. Part of the legal funds we raise will be used to support Corey, along with supporting all of the local anti-racist and anti-fascist community members who have been arrested for resisting white supremacy.

Thanks to all of your support, we raised $160,000 to this point for legal support. Now that the white supremacists have made it their goal to get as many anti-racism community members arrested as they can, on possible felony charges, we are trying to raise $90,000 more by October 31st. Several community members, including Corey, are facing serious charges and we want to support them in defending Charlottesville against white supremacy. Help us reach $250,000 raised by the end of this month!
